 Someone should really write a book about how everyone found Sandpoint, Idaho.  The stories are as interesting as the people who live here.  My story starts in 1973 when my husband and I were living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and were ready for a new adventure.  We asked my parents to find us a new place to ski, kayak, and build a home.  They had just sold their small ski area in California and were willing to visit all the potential undiscovered ski areas.  They called us and said they found it, Schweitzer Mountain in Sandpoint, Idaho. 

In the ensuing years Sandpoint has been very kind to us.  Our two daughters were born and raised here.  I honestly believe this community helped us raise them.  Sandpoint provided a creative, secure and educationally challenging environment for young people.  Although after college their paths lead them to other areas, they still consider Sandpoint their home and spend as much time here as possible.

Now the greatest pleasure Tim and I have is to spend time at the lake or the ski area playing with our family. It is wonderful that we always get to see our granddaughter and soon to be grandson because they love to visit Sandpoint and Papa and Magu (Bailey’s nickname for me).  At 5 years old Bailey is a great little skier and swimmer and Sandpoint is the perfect place to create her childhood memories.

Since 1991 Dan McLaughlin and I have been real estate partners.  Our families live next door to one another, our children have grown up together and now our grandchildren are the best of buddies.  Our long business relationship and friendship have enabled us to form the most enduring real estate team in the Sandpoint market.  For over 18 years we have been the most visible and active agents in our market.  Perhaps our success stems from our unflappable love of Sandpoint and the people that live here.
