  Jim Haynes was born and raised in the Rocky Point area three miles west of Sandpoint.  He grew up playing in the lake with his brothers and sister and camping out under the Idaho stars in his backyard.  As an adult, Jim’s work took him out of Sandpoint, but he vacationed with his family at their cabin on Pend Oreille Lake whenever possible.  Jim’s love of the area has only gotten stronger with time.  After having lived all over the country and spending some time overseas, Jim believes there is truly no place like North Idaho.

  Jim graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in engineering.  He married his wife of nearly 35 years, Anne Lyons, and they raised two daughters, Heather and Sarah.  Jim’s working career took the family to Texas, Montana, and Washington where he started, managed and sold multiple companies.  After returning to school Jim obtained a PhD in engineering, and with two partners started a software and engineering services company in Moscow in 1989.  The company was sold in 2001 and the family moved back to the place they always called home:  Sandpoint, Idaho.

  This work experience has given Jim a strong background in business development, a strong work ethic and superior organizational skills.   These skills along with his lifelong love affair with North Idaho are at your service.  Whether it’s commercial property, a second home, or your very own piece of God’s country, Jim is here to help you.
