I was born in Rochester, NY, but moved at a young age to Wichita,
Kansas. I grew up in Wichita and
attended the University of Kansas,
graduating in 1988 (the year of
Danny Manning and the Miracles NCAA
Basketball championship).
After school I spent a year in Chicago working in Agricultural
Commodities on the floor of the
Chicago Board of Trade. After a year
of living and working in Chicago I
made the fateful decision to move to
Vail, Colorado and be a true ski
bum, waiting tables at night at the
Hyatt Regency Beaver Creek, and
snowboarding all day. Reaching my
late twenties I decided to "get
serious" and moved back to Wichita
to work in the family business.
After six months in Kansas I
realized that I needed to live in a
mountain town and began researching
ski towns of the west.
I visited Sandpoint and driving across the Long Bridge and seeing
the mountain and the lake, I thought
that this could be the place. Three
weeks later I arrived in town with
all my belongings in a U-Haul and
opened the towns first snowboard
shop. I sold the shop to my business
partner in 1999 to pursue my real
estate career, working out of an
office at Schweitzer Mtn. I joined
Dan and Debbie in 2005 and look
forward to sharing my love of this
area with others, helping people
realize the lifestyle they envision.
